flowers

someone once asked
'what is your favourite flower?'
i pondered on it for quite sometime...
while walking in the florist shops,i saw rows of roses..
red,pink,yellow..
but two flowes struck out the most that captured my attention and i found myself loving
it had something...special about it
an air of pure and innocence..
not my kind
but still,i was really drawn to it so much
anything that had it was..
just plain beautiful in my sight
always portrayed as innocent beauty
pretty no?

i know,its WHITE ROSES!!
they give this in funerals..
but ever stop to wonder.
why do they give it in funerals?
why give something so pure,innocent and beautiful to someone who has passed?
does it always have to signify death?
isn't that a harsh sentence to somethings as beautiful as this?
what more if it went side by side with the lilies..
a sight to behold..
sigh..
and guys always give red roses..
so boring...
don't ask me why i suddenly blog bout flowers..
had no intention on blogging today but while doing pbl,
i got bored and that statement suddenly popped in my head..
