So,its that time of the year again..
of IMU cup events, and restarting uni seeing familiar faces for probably my last 2 semester before i wave goodbye to them as they travel to different parts of the world to manifest the IMU virus.
Of taking really dumb english test that made me feel like a high school standard ( i passed that mark almost 4 years ago le) then again, cannot be too over confident bout it.worst already that my sem is kicking of with such a bang, don't want to end it by having to sit through English Torture lessons...*cross fingers*
and also, the highly favourite chinese culture celebration...
THE HUNGRY GHOST FESTIVAL!!
such festivity as people put up those shrines to the hell god(s) and the wondering spirits who have been let loose to terrorize the world by demanding to be fed.
hence lay all the wasted food (which i believe usually end up feeding the stray animals and people think its 'them' that ate it) and the biggest event yet...
THE HUGE OPEN BURNING OF PAPER FIGURINES..
I LOVE HUGE BON-FIRES!!!
no,to put it short..
I LOVE FIRE!!!
guess thats why i'm a fire rabbit..
which reminds me again of another happier festival coming soon..
LANTERN FESTIVAL!!
WHEE!!!!
burning pretty candles and sticking them in pretty patterns, then just stand back and watch it all burn to the ground..
and at the same time, ultimately contribute to the haze production (though i believe the former contributes more since it happens EVERYWHERE!!!) and now that the Olympics are going on in Beijing, they shouldn't be scratching their heads much bout wondering where the haze came from coz on the opening night,i saw the HUGE MAIN CULPRIT!!!
THE BURNING TORCH!!! LOL..
yes,the torch that is suppose to burn through out the entire event and only to be put out when everyone has to say goodbye to the games, board their plans and be on their happy way home to their respective country and stop contributing to the already over-populated Beijing.and to those countries who are under terrorist threat, they'l be saying silent prayers and keeping their fingers crossed that they'l arrive safely and in one piece, not pieces or non at all..
so while it burns, imagine the amount of carbon it emits.plus, its running on kerosene oil if i'm not mistaken,or some oil which will make it produce more carbon...
