During a good friend's recent 21st birthday celebration,I was offered quite reasonable deal from another friend who was made the unofficial photographer for the event..
Nikon D90~~~ *sing song*isn't it a pretty?
hrm....
He offered it for RM 1900 ( i think,or was it RM 1700 ??! my memory serves me TERRIBLY!!)
Initially I was doubtful yet tempted by the offer.
Why?
Cause i was already eyeing Canon's (but its SO HEAVULY PRICED!!! huhu!!) or Nikon D40 or D50. All noobs camera's for me.
The friend was selling it (complete but without extension lens ) as he wanted to invest in a better and more pro camera, wanting to 'take his skills to new heights' I'm guessing.
As if fate wanted be to mean to me for putting the offer on hold as i wanted to do some light reading on this model since I've always been reading on Canon's or the D40 or D50 model. That following week,The Star's Tech Tuesday section FEATURED the exact same camera!!!
GAH!!!
Saw the price and I felt like throwing myself at the on going cars as the First hand price was bout RM 4000 bucks!! >_<>
sniff,sniff...
And the reviews are WAYYYYY BETTER than the D40 or D50.
ME LIKEY!!!
No wonder I never saw an interest in Business as I would ensure its failure probably before the launch of it.
But getting it is the least of my problems...
NEED MOONEY!!!
DOUBLE GAH!!!
like really REALLY need the moola...
Been pinning my luck on the English Tuition near my house (and still keeping my fingers cross bout it)..
NEED A PART TIME JOB IF I WANT TO GET ME CAMERA!!!
huhu...
Anyone willing to help me??
Must be an honest work,no tricks or I will personally KILL YOU!!
pretty pretty please!!
I do not believe in resorting to FAMA loan because this is something i want to claim as my OWN property and I want to feel proud of it by working my ass of for it.Oherwise, there is no glory and pride in getting my hands on it.Just like how I want to save hard for other things i pinning for (see my wish list?? Its still building up..hehe).Depending on FAMA loan to me shows how pitiful and dependent I am on my parents for everything, expecting them to get everything for me like some spoilt brat.Plus, knowing the price of such wanted items like this and just stand there with open hands and waiting for the money to drop on my hands at the slight request from me when I want it feels degrading, like its WORST than a begger who sits there to beg for a living whereas I'm asking for luxury. Not to mention, now that resession's coming,I just don't think its right to ask for such an amount. As it is,I'm actually hoping for part time jobs to pay my 'loan' back for last months expenses (the cheer outfit cause quite a BOMB!!). And since I have worked before,I know how hard it is to earn money yet how easy it is to spend all that hard earn money in just a blink of an eye.
Even if i have to resort to FAMA,I'm insisten on paying back the amount I borrowed (even if it means no outside meals and having to 'tie my stomach',which translate to Ikat Perut).
Praying he hasn't found a buyer by the time i get the money...
*prays really really hard now*
Don't want to promise him anything either cause after kenot pay then kesian him if he found a better buyer who can already pay upfront everything..
Sigh...its true what they say..
Money makes the world go round,Yet Money is also the source of all evil.

Not money, but the love of money is the source of evil... tsk tsk tsk
I was so surprised when you said it was RM 1,900... It is such an amazing deal! Almost impossible to imagine. It is such a new model and for the price of a D40!
As for the money matter... really there isn't much option.
1. Work for 2 months? And say bye bye to the deal T.T
2. Loan the money. Close the deal now and catch up with the loan.
3. Fast! Garage sale now!! Dunno how much you have to sell though =P
4. Mom & Dad! xD
Honestly 4. is my preferred choice, easiest fastest and gives you another reason to kiss them =P. But since you don't like it... I dunno what to say.
But this is a CRAZY deal >.< I wish I had a deal like that. I got my D40 like a week ago for RM 1,600 =).
Does it have a lens? What did you mean by extension lens?
